Buck Pond Farm's freshman sire SEATTLE FITZ (Arg) chalked up his first winner on Saturday (6/14/08) when his 2 year old son FITZASLEW put up an impressive performance in the 3rd race at Churchill Downs. In open Maiden Special Weight company, FITZASLEW broke well and dueled for the early lead, took command turning for home and drew off for an easy 2-length victory over 11 rivals. He clocked the 5 furlongs on the main track in 58 4/5ths.

FITZASLEW was bred, raised and sold by Buck Pond Farm. Out of the Polish Numbers mare Basic Instinct, the colt sold at the 2007 Fasig Tipton Kentucky July Yearling Sale for $52,000 to Kenny McPeek, agent for Alliance Racing III.
