Seattle Fitz Averages Nearly 10x Stud Fee

Two colts from the 2nd crop of super hot Freshman Sire Seattle Fitz (Arg) sold for an average of $82,500 at the 2008 Fasig-Tipton July Yearling Sale, nearly 10 times the stallion's initial stud fee of $8,500. Both colts were born and raised at Buck Pond Farm.
Hip #143, out of the mare Watch that Girl, was consigned with Eaton Sales and sold for $125,000 to Buzz Chace, agent. Hip 3240, out of the mare Evening Shadows, was consigned by Buck Pond Farm, and sold for $40,000 to trainer Kenny McPeek, who trains Seattle Fitz's first winner, Fitzaslew.
