Fort Prado new to Buck Pond for 2012


Buck Pond is excited to welcome its newest stallion, Fort Prado, for the 2012 breeding season. The son of El Prado-Fort Pond by Fortunate Prospect, who has weanlings of 2011, won 18 races in 59 starts with 18 placings, and had earnings totaling over $1.2 million. Included in his 13 stakes wins were the Fair Grounds Breeders' Cup Handicap and the John B. Connally Breeders' Cup Turf Handicap, which were both grade III. Fort Prado, an Ilinois bred who raced for breeder David Block and Team Block, previously stood at Hill n' Dale Farm in Ilinois. His weanlings averaged $51,667 at the recent Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. Fort Prado's stud fee will be $5,000.00 (live foal, stand and nurse).
