Hip #101 had lots of lookers and lots of competition to buy him, bringing the hammer down at $62,000 to Dale Romans, agent. The final bid was more than 12 times Crafty Shaw's $5,000 stud fee. Both colts were born and raised at Buck Pond Farm. Hip #143, out of the mare Watch that Girl, was consigned with Eaton Sales and sold for $125,000 to Buzz Chace, agent. Hip 3240, out of the mare Evening Shadows, was consigned by Buck Pond Farm, and sold for $40,000 to trainer Kenny McPeek, who trains Seattle Fitz's first winner, Fitzaslew.
